Hooking and Booking
It’s been a month of frantic crocheting, working almost feverishly to finish projects in time for Christmas. Thankfully, I finished all the crochet projects (I still have a few knitting projects that are always on my needles…) and have taken some time to work on a few long term projects- several blankets of Lion Brand Homespun, and a little ripple blanket with yarn I dyed myself. I’m determined to try some new patterns in 2012, and already have a few ideas in the works.
On the book front, it’s been slower, as school stifles a lot of my desire to read more (textbooks are so boring). But I did read one of those goofy Pride and Prejudice re-writes which was a quick and fairly lighthearted read. I’m so into my historical non-fiction, but sometimes they are so poorly written… I definitely needed the light fluffy reading. But I have a few books waiting to be cracked opened, and I hope to have time before school starts again.
